When setting up Élan in 2006 I was looking for a name for my practice that gave me a sense of what I felt coaching was all about. Élan really felt right. When you explore the definition of élan you will see that it is about our personal presence and the way we live our lives. Someone with élan has a certain something about them, a confident unique way in which they live and work. They have a presence that is inspired by, and shows their enthusiasm and passion for, what they are doing.
When we have élan, we are living our lives in a way that is true to ourselves. This underpins my coaching practice.
Coaching for me is all about you – what you want to achieve in your life, in your work, in your role. It is working alongside you, co-creating a professional developmental space that supports you in finding your unique and confident way in which you want to achieve whatever it is you want to achieve.
This philosophy applies to my supervision practice too. My supervision is all about supporting you as a coach to be the best coach you can be for your clients. This comes from coaching from who you are and where you are – developing and growing a confident, personal and unique coaching practice.
At Élan I offer a range of coaching services including executive, personal and career coaching, as well as supervision for independent and internal coaches. I also offer a range of development programmes for organisational clients.
I work with a great team of associate coaches who support me when delivering larger coaching and development programmes, as well as offering a diverse range of coaching approaches.
In addition to Élan, I also run ART in Coaching where I share all things Art Based Coaching, a powerful transformational approach to both coaching and supervision. Creativity in the development space allows us to deepen our connection to and enrich our understanding of who we are, what we want from our lives, what may be holding us back and how we can achieve our aims.
